Our main website: Ocean Youth Trust Scotland
As you might expect here is all the information on the Trust from how to get involved to training and events. You will find a list of all the voyages the boats will be taking, where and when they start and end with prices.
For those who have sailed before here are some shortcuts to information on the main website that can be hard to find (correct at May2009).
Find out how to book a berth here:
To see what you need to bring (apart from a willingness to take part in the adventure!) click here
Tayside and Fife have their own site at http://www.oytstay.org.uk/ with some excellent pictures of one of the Challenge boats (Alba Explorer) in Dundee.
The RYA have set up a sailing development group, go to this website and click "North and East Scotland Sailing" for this area ;http://www.ryascotland.org.uk/sailingdevelopment/Pages/default.aspx
Aberdeenshire Sailing Clubs website gives events and links for sailing clubs in (you guessed it) Aberdeenshire. Nine clubs are associated and you can get the details on the website.
Well worth a visit Ironbarque.com. Ironbarque is a privately owned Challege 72 their website has a host of documentation from the Challenge business from sail plans through equipment manuals to build specifications. Another aspect is the blog discussing her purchase, views on the family taking to sea and so on. On this page it is easy to miss the daily lat/log reports which contain some very entertaining incidents.
Want to learn knots? Animated Boating Knots by Grog shows you how to tie them.
